Suboxone (Buprenorphine) is a semi-synthetic opioid that is used to treat opioid addiction. Suboxone treatment is an alternative method for treating lower levels of opioid dependence, or for occasions when previous Methadone treatment attempts have been unsuccessful.

Ongoing detoxification and maintenance using Suboxone can be appropriate for persons who have indicated moderate addictions to opiate drugs such as Heroin, Oxycontin, Vicodin, Codeine, Percocet and Dilaudid.
